Eliza Conley-Lepene is the Founder, CEO and President of Safe House. Thriver of Violence with a Bachelors Degree in Justice, Advocacy and Psychology. She created both the crisis and recovery apps with the vision of getting people in crisis and recovery to a safer place sooner. Along side her team they have patented both apps, expanded the apps Nationally and launched them on the Google and Apple play stores. Eliza is a mom of two and has been a licensed massage therapist since 2007. She owns a Hawaiian themed spa in Kennebunk called Spa Voyage, is pursuing a life long dream of becoming a pilot and is a Graduate Student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Cathy Moore is the Safe House Vice President and Data Collection Chair. Cathy is a dog Mom(4), chicken Mom (7), and Mom to an amazing little girl. Cathy is a Pampered Chef Consultant and was the first virtual fundraising consultant for Safe House in 2020. Shortly after she became a volunteer, and it wasn’t before long she became one of the board of directors. Cathy spent an extensive amount of time on data collection and pushing the ball forward. Her tenacity and passion to get people to a safer place sooner had her voted in as Safe House’s Vice President August 2022.
Shayna Gervais Board of Director: Treasurer.
Shayna is a full time Crew Leader for Piscatqua Landscaping, Owner of Enchanting Legacies, part time Dental Assistant Student, Zyia Activewear representative, Isagenix Representative, Younique Representative, Horse trainer, and last but never least Single Mother of eight. She works hard to maintain the work/life balance as a single Mom. She very much enjoys the outdoors and her job as a landscaper is the perfect therapeutic fit! As an entrepreneur she has the opportunity to meet new people and her position with Safe House is the perfect place to put that into motion. She works hard to help others see that there is a way out, and the pot of gold is always at the end of the rainbow!
Becky Vermeire is the Executive Director for the Women's Crisis Center of Taney County, a position that she has held for 27 years. Becky holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Philosophy and Religion. During her years of employment at the Crisis Center, Becky has been responsible for creating programming and planning for residential services for victims of domestic and sexual violence. Prior to becoming the Executive Director, Becky was the Court Advocate. In this role she assisted victims and survivors in filing for emergency Orders of Protection, provided court accompaniment and worked as a liaison with the Prosecuting Attorney's office. Becky has been endorsed as an Expert Witness in the field of domestic violence and frequently testifies in criminal domestic violence cases. In her free time, Becky Co-Hosts a podcast on the YouTube channel Free to Soar which is a channel dedicated to domestic violence education and outreach. In her personal life, Becky is the mother of one son and the "Granny" to her beautiful grandson. Becky is also a dog enthusiast and brings her pet Yorkie Ted E. Bear to work with her everyday where he works as an emotional support animal for employees and residents of the Crisis Center alike.
